Women Chefs & Restaurateurs Wants Your Help!
Join your fellow WCR member businesses on Thursday August 19, 2010 to engage your customers in supporting women in the culinary arts! In 2008 and 2009, almost $10,000 was raised and we hope to exceed that this year.
Unite for a Bite is a fundraiser for Women Chefs & Restaurateurs (WCR). WCR wants to help fill your restaurant/culinary business on a typically slower evening/day while at the same time raising funds for the scholarship and educational programs of WCR. Unite for a Bite is EASY to integrate into a regular night of service or day of business. There is no special registration process for those attending – take reservations and operate your business as you normally would. WCR will promote all participating restaurants/culinary businesses via event announcements and a press release, and will provide all participating businesses with a sample press release template for their own local media outreach. WCR requests a donation of 5% (or more if inclined) of the day/evening’s sales from all participating businesses.
Please note: Contributions or gifts to WCR are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. However, such payments may be deductible as a business expense. Please consult with your accountant or attorney.
